- FILM PROJECTS -

In January, Kurt scored "Crimson and Clover", a short film written, directed by and starring Kurt Larson (Kurt G's childhood friend). Kurt L plays Billy who is torn between Rose, a sure thing, and the elusive ex-girlfriend Francois.

A full-length feature called "The Alpha Geek" is in the works for Larson with Kurt G onboard to write the score. Production is scheduled to start in Summer 2006.

Visit www.KurtLarson.net for updates.

Kurt wrote two new pop/rock songs for the main and end title theme of "Send In The Clown", a film by Spencer Schilly. The story follows 25-year-old Wesley as he miraculously wakes from a 13-year coma only to decide we wants to be a professional clown.

Check out www.clownmovie.com and hear the two new tracks at www.myspace.com/KurtGellersted

"Opposite Attraction", scored largely by Kurt and directed by Thomas Wieschenberg was this years' Jersey Spotlight Feature selection at the Fifth Annual Red Bank International Film Festival, the most established festival in New Jersey. The 92 minute feature film premiered October 15th at Clearview Cinemas in Red Bank. For more information, visit www.RBIFF.org

Two of Kurt's instrumental music cues appear in the Vampire Horror film "Silver Night", directed by Glenn Andreiev of Huntington Action Films.

The story follows heroine Margot as she battles Garring, a long dead rum-runner who is now a drug dealing vampire.

The film is now available on DVD at www.HuntingtonActionFilms.com

Two original songs from "Scribble Scrabble" are featured in the feature film "Returning", directed by Alfred Giancarli of Four Horsemen films. The film premiered in Fall 2004.

- MUSICAL THEATRE -

Winner of the 2007 New York Fringe Festival Overall Excellence Award for Best Music and Lyrics! Williamsburg! The Musical played to over 1100 people for five shows at the Village Theatre as part of the NY International Fringe Festival in August 2007.

Williamsburg! The Musical is a hilarious pop/rock parody of Brooklyn’s over-hyped hipster ‘hood. A suicidal Trust-Funder encounters a disenchanted Hasidic Jew in the shadow of the Williamsburg Bridge. On their potholed road to love, they battle a greedy real estate agent whose diabolical plan to overtake the neighborhood spawns an army of zombie-like hipsters. Will the unlikely heroes of Williamsburg band together to save the sub-borough? Or will gentrification reign? With songs like "One Stop (To Excitement)," "Peter Luger Lullaby," and “Million Dollar Crackhouse,” this timely Roast of the Burg juxtaposes Missed Connections and “Hipstory Lessons” to comically exploit the cultural mish-mash of “the coolest neighborhood in America.”

Created by Nicola Barber, Will Brumley, Brooke Fox, and Kurt Gellersted.
